A bill that would give Rhode Island cannabis dispensaries the ability to advertise their products to consumers recently cleared a hurdle in the legislature. According to reporting from The Boston Globe, the House of Representatives voted unanimously to support a bill that would eliminate the restriction that prevents Rhode Island cannabis businesses from advertising via billboards and methods. As a small state in the infancy of implementing legalization this move is intended to help existing businesses stay competitive. The legislation will heads to the Senate where it must receive support before it can be sent to Governor McKee.
