Virtual Community Outreach Meetings Can Continue Until July 15, 2022

Community meetings can be virtual until July 15

The Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission has once again amended its administrative order allowing for virtual web-based community outreach meetings. The order was set to expire on April 1st. Commission Executive Director Shawn Collins released a final order that extended the ability for applicants to conduct virtual community outreach meetings until July 15th, 2022.

Virtual meetings have been in place throughout the pandemic in an effort to protect the public health, safety, and welfare of consumers and patients who would otherwise be unable to attend in-person gatherings. At these meetings, members of the public must be able to engage, ask questions, and interact with the applicant. In Massachusetts, entrepreneurs must hold a community outreach meeting within the six months prior to their application for a cannabis business.
