Connecticut debuts first recreational cannabis license applications

Connecticut opened the process for entrepreneurs to submit adult-use marijuana applications this month. Retailers, cultivators from disproportionately impacted areas, and delivery services are some the first license types available.

Connecticut closes applications for each license type after 90 days. The state will make an equal number of licenses available to both social equity and general applicants. The next to become available is the hybrid medical and adult use retail license on February 24, 2022.
