Fine Fettle, a cannabis company in Connecticut, recently had its approval for five equity joint ventures revoked by the Society Equity Council. The new Society Equity Council Char Paul Robertson claims that the approvals did not comply with Connecticut’s adult use cannabis law regarding the requirements for shared ownership. Without much of a discussion the board voted to revoke five out of the six equity joint venture approvals based mostly on the fact that Fine Fettle was working with the same social equity candidate for each application. Fine Fettle did open their first equity joint venture shortly after adult-use sales began with a cannabis retail dispensary in Manchester. The Manchester business license was not revoked as a result of the Equity Council’s decision.
