This week NEC News Today wanted to try some flower grown by a local cannabis micro-business. We had heard great things about RiverRun Gardens online through various sources. Members of NEC News Today are also friendly with RiverRun’s Founder, Ed Desousa, who is an advocate for the cause of cannabis and has been pushing for reform many years. We were excited to finally try some of his flower and get the best RiverRun had to offer. We located two of their signature strains nearby in a local dispensary and went to pick it up.
From the gold containers to the smoke and flavor, this flower is everything it should be. Both the Mochisicle Gelato strain and Pint Sized strains lit up the room as soon as we opened the containers. Skunky, fruity, and gassy, the flowers themselves were trimmed perfectly and covered in trichomes. Some buds of both strains had a beautiful purple hue mixed in and they broke up easily for use in a bong or a joint. We at NEC News Today smoked several joints of the flowers and were left feeling lifted with no negative side effects. The flowers smoked beautifully in the joints without any boating taking place. With the gold containers, the experience felt high end overall with amazing flower to back up the flashy gold chosen with their branding. Knowing Ed had put his pride into this operation, it is clear with the end product that he really did his best and created an amazing local business for cannabis consumers to enjoy. We would definitely buy more River Run Gardens in the future and highly recommend local cannabis consumers give it a try. Supporting a local advocate’s business also makes one feel good. We would like to thank Ed for all his advocacy efforts and congratulate him on developing a cannabis business that makes high quality products consumers will enjoy.
