The Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission announced on Twitter that the Medical Marijuana Patient Portal (MMJOS) and the Massachusetts Cannabis Industry Portal (MassCIP) would be unavailable between Saturday, 3/19 at 11 p.m. through Sunday, 3/20 at 6 a.m for system upgrades. On Sunday morning, several dispensaries informed their customers that issues with the patient portal had left them with severe delays or completely unable to process medical transactions.
The system update seems to have affected medical dispensaries across the state with lingering issues that took time to troubleshoot. This coincided with a convention that many cannabis companies were attending in Boston. Thankfully the problem was resolved by the following morning with medical dispensaries and patients reporting no further issues accessing the patient portal.
