Merrimac adult-use ban up for reversal

Merrimac residents could reverse town’s cannabis ban

There is a chance that residents in Merrimac could amend their local zoning bylaws to start hosting adult-use cannabis facilities. In 2017 and 2019 locals rejected the idea. On April 25th the town meeting will meet to vote on this issue once again. Merrimac already has an existing medical marijuana dispensary, beWell Organic Medicine, but the business has not been able to open to the general public due to the current zoning bylaw prohibiting recreational cannabis businesses in the town.
