A new report has placed the capital of Connecticut and Massachusetts on their study of the best cannabis cities in the nation. Clever, a real estate data company, recently published a list in collaboration with cannabis platform Leafly that says Massachusetts and Connecticut have two of the top 15 cannabis cities in the country. Their research included metrics such as cannabis-prescribing doctors per 100,000 residents, Dispensaries per 100,000 residents, the affordability of cannabis, and even looked at the number of Taco Bell’s per 100,000 residents.
This is the first time that Boston ended up on the list at 13 out of 15. According to the report, an ounce of medium-quality weed costs $276 in Boston, which is about 10% higher than the national average at $252 per ounce. Hartford just made the list at number 15. The report cites Connecticut’s strong medical market with double the national number of cannabis-prescribing doctors per 100,000 residents.
