Offsite cannabis sales being discussed in Connecticut

Connecticut off-site cannabis event sales bill moves forward

Connecticut’s recently launched cannabis industry is already looking at ways to improve sales and provide a more consumer friendly experience. Cannabis companies who want to shop and sell their products off-site at events like festivals and concerts are interested in the outcome of legislation currently making its way through the Connecticut legislature. HB.6699 would give cannabis companies similar permissions that the alcohol industry has to conduct sales off-site. According to reporting from NewHavenBiz, the General Law Committee supported the bill by moving it to the House of Representatives for further action to be taken. Under the bill companies could apply for a permit to conduct offsite sales but would be restricted to four offsite approvals per year.
