Commission releases patient registration form in Spanish
In Massachusetts the online portal and instructions to register as a medical marijuana patient are in English. On Tuesday the Cannabis Control Commission uploaded a new document to their public system. The document is a Spanish translation of the patient registration form. This Commission is engaged in translating materials into languages other than English as part of their, “ongoing commitment to ensure equity, access, and inclusion in Massachusetts’ regulated cannabis industry.”
In Summer 2021 the medical use of marijuana and adult-use cannabis regulations were translated into both Spanish and Portuguese. The newly released patient registration form is a paper application which means that it must be mailed in and approved manually by Commission staff. Step by step instructions on how to register with the medical marijuana program are also available via the Massachusetts Patient Advocacy Alliance’s website in Spanish and Portuguese.
