Listening sessions on social consumption announced

CCC seeks input on social consumption of cannabis at upcoming listening sessions

The Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission is holding three public listening sessions to gather input on the development of social consumption licenses and regulations. These sessions are an opportunity for stakeholders to provide feedback and shape how the state will regulate cannabis consumption sites. The first session is set to take place on June 27th, 2023 at Holyoke Community College followed by a virtual session on July 18th, 2023 via Zoom and a final session on July 20th, 2023 at Mass Bay Community College in Wellesley.

Attendees will have three minutes to share their thoughts and those unable to attend can submit written comments via email. The listening sessions aim to gather public input before the agency drafts new policies. There will be a separate formal public comment period after the draft regulations are published. The listening sessions give cannabis consumers, entrepreneurs, and patients the ability to contribute to the ongoing discussion surrounding the regulatory review process.
