Yamba Market opens Cambridge dispensary

In the City of Cambridge the first recreational cannabis dispensary has finally opened its doors. Yamba Market opened its 580 Massachusetts Ave store on April 11th. Yamba is a minority-owned and multicultural cannabis retailer that is offering a variety of cannabis products for its customers to choose from. The store is open from 10am-6pm, 7 days a week by appointment only.

In 2016 71.6% of Cambridge voters supported the ballot question that legalized cannabis in the Commonwealth. In 2019 Cambridge passed a unique local ordinance giving Commission designated economic empowerment priority applicants a head start to open cannabis businesses. The goal behind the ordinance was to increase equity participation in the cannabis industry by giving equity applicants the first host community agreements.

Yamba has announced that they will be celebrating their grand opening with a special 4/20 block party that will feature live music, guest celebrities, and giveaways. Attendees can expect music from Kaleta & Super Yamba Band as well as Hip-Hop Legend Doug E. Fresh And The Get Fresh Crew. The event is for individuals 21 years and older. Celebrate 4/20 with Yamba Market in Central Square Cambridge (Pearl Street, right off of Mass Ave) by registering for the event here: https://420blockparty.eventbrite.com/
